Welcome to Linguinity. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our translation marketplace platform. By accessing or using Linguinity, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Linguinity, a company registered in the United Kingdom.

2. Definitions

• "Platform" refers to the Linguinity website and services
• "User" refers to any person using the Platform
• "Translator" refers to freelance translators offering services
• "Client" refers to users purchasing translation services
• "Services" refers to translation services offered on the Platform

3. Eligibility

To use Linguinity, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

4. Account Registration

When creating an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Be responsible for all activities under your account

5. Platform Services

5.1 Marketplace

Linguinity provides a marketplace connecting Clients with Translators. We are not a party to the contracts between Clients and Translators and do not provide translation services directly.

5.2 For Translators

Translators may:

• Create service listings with accurate descriptions
• Set their own pricing and delivery times
• Communicate with potential clients
• Deliver high-quality translation services

5.3 For Clients

Clients may:

• Browse and search for translation services
• Post job requirements
• Hire Translators for projects
• Provide feedback and reviews

6. Payments and Fees

6.1 Service Fees

Linguinity charges a service fee for facilitating transactions. Fees are clearly displayed before purchase and are non-refundable except as required by law.

6.2 Payment Processing

All payments are processed through secure third-party payment processors. You agree to their terms and conditions.

6.3 Currency

All prices are displayed in British Pounds (GBP) unless otherwise stated.

7. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Attempt to circumvent platform fees
• Use automated systems to access the Platform
• Interfere with platform security or functionality

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Platform Content

All content on the Platform, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by Linguinity or its licensors and protected by UK and international copyright laws.

8.2 User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit but grant Linguinity a license to use, display, and distribute it on the Platform.

9. Disputes Between Users

Disputes between Clients and Translators should be resolved directly between the parties. Linguinity may provide assistance but is not obligated to intervene.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law:

• Linguinity is not liable for the quality, accuracy, or timeliness of translation services
• We are not responsible for disputes between users
• Our total liability is limited to the fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Nothing in these Terms excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Linguinity harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Platform or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

14. Consumer Rights

If you are a consumer in the UK, you have certain statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Nothing in these Terms affects those rights.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
